Heather Whiteman Runs Him (Apsaalooke/Crow) is the Director of the Tribal Justice Clinic and Associate Clinical Professor at University of Arizona Rogers College of Law. In Arizona v. Navajo Nation, Heather was the Council of Record for amici tribal nations and inter-tribal organizations in support of the Navajo Nation at the merit stage before the US Supreme Court. She teaches courses on Tribal Water Law and Tribal Courts and Tribal Law. Prior to joining the law school faculty, Heather worked as a senior staff attorney at the Native American Rights Fund in Boulder, Colorado and served as Joint Lead Counsel for the Crow Tribe of Montana. She received her Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and is admitted to practice in New Mexico, several federal district and appellate courts, and the United States Supreme Court.
