Kimberly Leefatt practices with Brownstein in their Los Angeles office, combining diligence and a poised approach in her natural resources practice. Her work is informed by multifaceted experience spanning litigation, in addition to transactional and regulatory compliance matters. At Brownstein, Kimberly’s recent work includes supporting some of the state’s largest public and private water authorities, agencies and companies in an array of water supply related matters. Kimberly also works with private entities and public agencies on issues related to compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and advises on corporate compliance with California Hazardous Waste Control Law (HWCL). Prior to joining Brownstein, Kimberly represented clients during federal government investigations before the US Environmental Protection Agency and US Department of Justice involving the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act; Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act; and the Clean Air Act. She also assisted with complex due diligence of environmental regulatory issues in corporate transactions for private equity, coal, petroleum, packaging and industrial chemical companies.
