Tom Lindley, formerly a Partner in Perkins Coie LLP and for eleven years the National Chair of its Environment Energy & Resources Group, focused on environmental counseling, compliance, and litigation; he now is retired from law but offers high-level strategic counseling. Recognized for “innovative solutions to seemingly intractable problems,” Tom’s achievements include helping to conceive and create the nation’s first watershed-based multiple source NPDES permit; first statutory Prospective Purchaser Agreement (PPA) protections; first multi-party, multi-species Candidate Conservation Agreement; and first statutory environmental audit privilege. Tom was also adjunct professor, Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College (1990-1997) and a frequent speaker and author on environmental regulation and liability issues. While with Perkins Coie and before that with Miller Nash, Tom was listed in The Best Lawyers in America, The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, Lawdragon 500, Leading Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and Oregon Super Lawyers.
