Anthony Saracino has over 30 years of experience in water resources consultation. He is a widely recognized expert in California water policy, and has provided consulting services for a variety of state, federal, agricultural, municipal and environmental clients. He was a member of the California Water Commission from 2010 to 2015, having been appointed by both Governors Schwarzenegger and Brown, and served as Chair of the Commission for the first two years of his term. Anthony currently provides water management consultation, including technical support, strategic planning, and policy analyses. He has been appointed in both federal and state courts as a groundwater expert. Between 2005 and 2011, Anthony was the Director of the California Water Program for The Nature Conservancy, responsible for the development and implementation of statewide water policies to support the Conservancy’s conservation objectives. Anthony was a founding member of the board and past president of the Groundwater Resources Association of California, and served on the Board of Directors of the Water Education Foundation for over 15 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from California State University, Fresno, and a Master of Science degree in Geology from Colorado State University, Fort Collins.
