Stanovsky, Walker

Author Description

Walker Stanovsky practices energy and climate change law at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. He chose this practice to build on his background in biology and climate science and to live out his inherited love of Washington State’s wild places. He helps utilities, utility customers, independent power producers, landowners, and sustainability-focused nonprofits navigate the swift currents of climate and energy regulation at the local, state, and federal levels. He also works on land use, environmental, and water law matters, and particularly enjoys the interface of scientific and legal issues. Walker represents his clients in state regulatory proceedings, FERC hydropower licensing and license implementation, and litigation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemical sciences from Harvard University and his J.D. from the University of Washington, where his studies included graduate climate science coursework.
