Alex Funk is the Director of Water Resources and Senior Counsel for the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Alex has over a decade of experience working on federal and state water policy issues, focusing on the Colorado River and western water management. Other current areas of focus include maintaining federal and state protections for wetlands and securing federal funds for multi-benefit water projects. Alex previously served as the Agricultural and Rural Resiliency Policy Specialist at the Colorado Water Conservation Board, where he acted as the agency’s liaison to agricultural stakeholders on water policy issues. Alex received his Juris Doctorate degree from Vermont Law School and an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in environmental policy and planning.
