Ben Alteneder is the Assistant Director for External Affairs at the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona, where he leads legislative strategy, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs to support the state’s long-term water security. A native Arizonan, Ben has dedicated his career to managing the external public representation of primarily natural resource and water policy, public, private, and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining WIFA in 2025, he served as Chief Legislative Liaison at the Arizona Department of Water Resources. His work is grounded in a deep commitment to public service, rural and urban collaboration, and ensuring a resilient water future for Arizona.
