Dr. Cat Shrier is the CEO of WaterCitizen.Org, a 501(c)3 nonprofit media, education, and events organization that supports water professionals, entrepreneurs, and volunteers to become impactful leaders. After 20 years working for water agencies, legislative offices and consulting firms with degrees in Government, Geology, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering/Water Resources Planning & Management, and Multimedia Journalism, Dr. Cat launched WaterCitizen in 2012 to use rapidly evolving online media and methods to make water media, education and events more inclusive and accessible. WaterCitizen Media provides high-energy, nontechnical coverage including features on diverse water professionals and environmental justice as well as water innovation and innovators—often the only media covering Water Startup events. She has developed and led WaterCitizen’s programs, including the Keys to Water in Congress; League of Extraordinary Women Of Water; WaterPitch! The Water Startup Matching Extravaganza™ and related programs for Water Startups. Dr. Cat served on a National Academy of Sciences Study Committee.
