Author Description

Daniel Hunter is a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager at Ameresco, where he assists clients in identifying, developing, and implementing renewable energy, energy efficiency, infrastructure renewal, and carbon reduction projects. These projects enhance clients’ building system infrastructure, generate on-site energy from traditional or renewable sources, reduce energy and water consumption, increase utility bill savings, reduce deferred maintenance backlogs, and provide financial solutions backed by performance guarantees. Mr. Hunter played an active role in helping Arizona State University develop and implement many of its on-campus solar projects. One of Mr. Hunter’s notable achievements includes leading the development of Utah’s first floating solar project at the Signal Hill Water Treatment Plant. This innovative project, completed in partnership with Mountain Regional Water and supported by a grant from Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky Award program, generates 871,086 kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually. The project offsets 92% of the plant’s grid energy consumption and reduces energy costs by 80%.
