Ken Ransford

Author Description

Ken Ransford has been the Secretary to the Colorado Basin Roundtable since 2005, which represents the Colorado River Basin in drafting Colorado’s Water Plan, and has served as the recreational representative to the Roundtable since 2008. He is writing a book about his experience at the Colorado Basin Roundtable since 2005, scheduled for publication later in 2025 and tentatively titled Whose Law of the River. Ken is licensed as an attorney and CPA in Colorado, where he practices tax and business law but not water law. He has served on the board of American Whitewater and the River Management Society. He attended the University of California, Davis, from 1974 to 1978, and the University of Colorado Law School from 1981 to 1984.
