Author Description
Sam Calahan is a Water Resources Specialist with the Colorado River District, where he manages operations at Elkhead and Wolford Mountain Reservoirs and provides other technical services. He also participates in cooperative efforts to maintain flows on the West Slope in areas impacted by transmountain diverters, including Grand County’s Learning by Doing effort and the Upper Colorado River Wild and Scenic Alternative Management Plan. Sam holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s degree in Hydrology from the Colorado School of Mines.
