David M. Traster, with Foulston Siefkin LLP, is just one of a handful of Kansas lawyers with significant experience in the highly technical field of water law. Established in 1919, Foulston Siefkin LLP is the largest Kansas-based law firm and one of the oldest, with a strong tradition for legal excellence. Mr. Traster is special counsel in Foulston’s Wichita office. He works with clients on a wide range of environmental, water rights, and natural resource challenges. He has extensive experience handling complex water law issues before administrative agencies and in Kansas Courts. He is a former Assistant Secretary and General Counsel at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. He handles administrative matters before the Division of Water Resources of the Kansas Department of Agriculture, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and the US EPA. His practice includes litigation and facilitating transactions where water and environmental resource issues are of concern.
