Understanding Sea Level Rise – New Webtool

The US Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) has launched a comprehensive online resource dedicated to sea level rise: SeaLevel.GlobalChange.gov. This website, developed by the US Interagency Task Force on Sea Level Change, offers the public a one-stop shop for information on this critical issue.

The new website offers the latest scientific research on sea level rise in an accessible format. Users can learn about the causes and impacts of rising seas, view sea levels for US coastlines using an interactive mapping tool, and learn about potential solutions. The website also provides foundational educational content, explaining the science behind sea level rise and its implications for coastal communities.

This collaborative effort aims to bridge the gap between scientific data and real-time decision-making. It also offers resources that can help communities assess their vulnerabilities, develop adaptation strategies, and make informed decisions about their future.
